Judith Rosenbauer is an actress, managing and artistic theatre director and producer. She founded the English Theater in Frankfurt and it is one of the few English speaking theatres in Europe and has the largest seating capacity (300). She negotiated the theatre’s present location and planned its construction with a team of architects, and it is the only theatre housed in a bank worldwide.
During her tenure, the
theatre produced eighty plays and musicals
and
employed hundreds of
British actors, as it still does to this day. She produced the
musical Kat and the Kings at the Cort Theatre on Broadway, together with
such well-known American producers as Richard Frankel Productions and
Harriet Leve. She has received several accolades such as The Cross of
the Order of Merit (comparable to a CBE) from the German Government in
2001. She is
now UK based pursuing her career in film and television.
